QP Energy Services, LLC is committed to providing safety and health-related orientation and training for all employees at all levels of the Company. The Company will maintain and support a program to educate and familiarize employees with safety and health procedures, rules and safe work practices. The training subjects and materials have been developed using industry best practices criteria and site-specific data.

The training may include, but is not limited to, the following:

1. Company-specific accident and incident data
2. Hazards associated with the work area
3. Hazards associated with a specific job or task
4. Operation of specific equipment
5. Personal protective equipment
6. Emergency procedures
7. Employee accident reporting requirements
8. Return to work program
9. Any OSHA required training not included or addressed above

Medic First Aid Basic Plus Training

MEDIC First Aid BasicPlus is a combined adult CPR, AED, and first aid training program. Is provided in house by a certified trainer and is a two year certification.

The PEC Basic – SafeLand Orientation

A safety awareness course designed to take the place of multiple operator orientations and to give each participant a general idea of life safety issues in the oil and gas industry onshore operations. The course provides a basic understanding at an awareness level of certain general safety information that an employee should know before entering a company facility and while performing their assigned work duties. Upon successful completion of course, each student is issued a picture ID with a unique barcode. The student information is then stored in an online database. This orientation has become the standard program for the industry and certifies a student at awareness level for the following:

H2S Gas Awareness Training

This annual course will provide delegates with the additional skills, information and knowledge, along with the appropriate attitudes to enable them to identify and manage a H2S hazard, assess the risks and implement the appropriate control measures. Upon successful completion of course, each student is issued a course completion card.

• The properties and sources of H2S
• Toxicity levels and exposure limits
• Acute and chronic effects of exposure
• H2S effects on metals, elastomers and polymers
• H2S gas detection including fixed and portable systems, their advantages and limitations
• Respiratory protection including different types of BA, mask fit testing, cascade systems, their advantages and limitations
• Practical use of Breathing Apparatus
• H2S emergency procedures during operations
• Rescue of H2S casualties
• Detection and protection equipment overview
• Practical use of gas detection
• Site requirements
• A written test

Additional Training & Required Certifications
(Service Region Specific)

TWIC

(Transportation Worker Identification Credential) – A security measure done by the TSA that will ensure individuals who pose a threat do not gain unescorted access to secure areas of the nation’s maritime transportation system.

ISTC Basic Training

An orientation developed by The Industrial Safety Training Council, a 501(c) 3 Non-Profit training and education organization located in Southeast Texas. With a location in Baytown, Texas and Corporate offices in Nederland, Texas, (just south of Beaumont, Texas) ISTC delivers safety training and site specific job safety orientations to contractors, as well as the employees of 42 local Refining and Chemical plants.
